This year, Shawn and Ethan were warriors - one was a Jedi and the other was a Knight. Ethan in particular had a blast this year as he went to every house saying "Treat!" "Treat!"
We had to make stops at Matt's parents and Aunt Charlene's house and finally made our way through the neighborhood. Shawn managed to get a half bag FILLED with candy.
We had a great night!
This was Shawn at his Costume Parade at school.
At Nana and Papa's posing...
At Charlene's...its hard to get Ethan to look at the camera...he had had about 4 Kit Kat's at Nana's.

Pumpkin Mania!
This past Saturday we all headed to Davidsonville to one of the numerous pumpkin patches. The boys wanted to show off their pumpkins they picked out. We are going to a Pumpkin Carving Party on the 29th at Aunt Chartini's! It is definitely looking like fall at the Naylor House! We cant wait for the roasted pumpkin seeds!

Shawn's 7th Birthday
Shawn has turned seven! Where does the time go?! This year, we threw him a Star Wars party. He is Star Wars everything right now. We had his Party a couple Saturdays ago - we could not have had better weather - sunny and mid to upper seventies.
Shawn dressed up as Luke Skywalker for his party! Thankfully Halloween is right around the corner!
I spent hours preparing for this party! I had sugar cookies in the cutout faces of Darth Vader, Yoda and Storm Trooper. (thanks Williams Sonoma!). I had the help of Charlene to dip pretzel rods and roll them in colored sugar to look like lightsabers! Red Doritios were Vader chips and Blue were Jedi Chips. For the adults we had Darkside chips and salsa (blue corn tortilla chips!). Matt worked his magic working the grill. "Jedi Juice" was available to quench your thrist!
The cake was a line of cupcakes decorated to resemble Luke ad Vaders lightsabers! I had several games planned, but as kids will be kids, they were happy playing in the backyard and playing football.
Matt did an awesome job keeping me sane and working Ethan over! He definnitely keeps us on our toes!
We are so proud of our Shawn-boy! He is excelling in school and soccer! He has so much tenacity with all that he puts his mind too. He sets a great example for Ethan and we can see all teh potential that lies inside of him.
We love you Shawnie-man!
Shawns actual birthday was a Monday night and we celebrated when Mom was able to come home from work. He opened gifts from his Grandparents and mom and dad. We bought a small ice cream cake for that night and I brought in cupcakes to school for his class that day. Overall, I think he had a GREAT day!

Lets Play Soccer!
Shawn is playing his first season of soocer this fall. He is so tenatious on the field! These are pictures from his first game 4 weeks ago. He always has me tie his soccer shoes because he can't get them tight enough and he is always telling me: "Mom, You GOT to get the right one REALLY tight - that's my kicking foot!" Well...yesterday he made a goal with his LEFT foot! LOL. Now, I will be hearing "Mom, you have to tie BOTH REALLY tight!"
I love seeing Shawn play soccer - but it will be SOO nice to not have to chase Ethan around the soccer field twice a week for practices and during games!
It is refreshing to welcome cooler weather - it has been such a hot and dry summer! We have had some much needed rain and we are in the forcast to get more. Welcome Fall!
Shawn hanging out with his team before the game.
Ethan practicing goalie.
Taking a break...
Ethan was getting tired just watching the game and needed to quench his thirst too!
Good Game!
Way to go Shawn! We're so proud of you!
